Bits and Pieces
I realized that it has been a while since I last posted, although I cannot think how that it possible. I am almost certain I posted very recently!
Lots of little things and updates:
- reader drafts of The Martyr's Tears are in the hands of pre-readers right now, and I have started to receive comments back, which is excellent. I wrote another three chapters and added them to the manuscript, so it is really starting to come together. I am much more pleased with this draft than I was with the first.
- I read Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology last weekend. It's been a very long time since I last read any Norse myths, so it was very nice to re-immerse myself in their glory, especially with Gaiman's wonderful language. He did a marvelous job adapting his voice to suit a mythological sound. I remembered most of the myths, although some details were different. I don't remember the entrails...
- Greg sent me the latest work on his cover for The Martyr's Blade. The figures are pretty much complete, and he is experimenting with borders and deciding on which scenes will become interior illustrations. My emails to him are basically frequent versions of "please send moar art" at this point, since I have lost all inhibitions and am simply begging now. I am not ashamed.
Hopefully i can get Greg to make some snippets of the cover to show to tide us over until he is finished. No promises, but I will ask.
